So it seems that Barack Obama is going to be the next president of the United States of America.
I think it will be quite interesting to see the first black US president (I don’t use the socially-correct expression “African-American” because I think it is loaded with prejudice).
I wonder how people will react to his mistakes, his victories, his decisions… time will tell, I guess. But be it good or bad, I think this is good news, for two reasons:
1 - It’s a bit of a blow on racism;
2 - As Georg Christoph Lichtenberg put it, “I cannot say whether things will get better if we change; what I can say is they must change if they are to get better.” - and boy, do the US need a change!…
